At the Executive Health Program, personalized care is our hallmark. Your comprehensive assessment will be performed by our medical director, Michael S. Farber, M.D., C.C.D., a board-certified internist, who has been on the medical staff of Hackensack University Medical Center since 1999.

Dr. Farber is skilled in all aspects of internal medicine and the primary care of adults of all ages. He is certified in advanced cardiac life support and clinical densitometry, which qualifies him to perform bone densitometry testing and to diagnose and treat osteoporosis.

Dr. Farber received his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Newark.

In 1999, he joined the medical staff at Hackensack University Medical Center and was one of the initial physicians instrumental in developing the medical center’s program. At the same time, he began developing the Executive Health program at HUMC, which he established and continues to direct today. Over the years he has been involved in various hospital functions, including vice-chairman of the Satisfaction Advisory Counsel Outpatient Sub-committee and physician advisor for interdisciplinary care rounds.

Currently, as an ISCD certified densitometrist, Dr. Farber reads DEXA scans for the medical center and is a collaborative researcher with the Center for Health Outcomes Research and Evidence Based Medicine, LLC. In addition to directing the Executive Health program, he is one of the team physicians providing internal medicine services to both the New Jersey NETS professional basketball and Red Bulls professional soccer organizations and serves as medical consultant for various multimedia (major online servers and magazine publications).
